Rayyan Hockey Club

Rayyan Hockey Club is a leading hockey club of Qatar with two teams that participate annually in the Qatar Hockey Leauge. The Qatar Hockey League takes place every year from March to May and is a competition between Wanderers Hockey Club, Gateway Hockey Club, Doha Hockey Club and Rayyan Hockey Club.

In the recent competition of 2010 the Rayyan club was quite prominent in the newspapers and the local hockey scene due to its recruitment of four star players from Pakistan, which included, Muhamad Jeved (an olympian from the beijing olympics 2008 and an international hockey player for the Pakistan national senior team), Farhan Ali (a leading player who plays for WAPDA - the gold medallists and top government department who won the national hockey championship in 2010), Muhammad Nadeem (a very talented full back who also represents gold medallists WAPDA, and is a professional hockey player), and Muhammad Rizwan (an ex Pakistan national junior team player).

With the help of the above professional players, the Rayyan hockey club teams achieved excellent results and beat the other teams in the Qatar Hockey League by substantial margins:
